My Animation
Thsi is my animation the way i came across this idea was after doing the experimentation with the textures and patterns i thought i would take my logo and flip it and repeat it a few times untill i came up with the over laying pattern above i then put a glow on it , i then took my original logo and made it big i then made it move using the animation feature on photoshop, i had it bouncing around like on dvd players i feel this is a clever animation which involved things that i would use for other things the pattern over the tip for example can be used on clothing and desktop and designs, over all i am very happy with my animation and i may use it in thefuture for advertising reasons.

Neville Brody
Neville Brody is an alumnus of the Londone college of printing and Hornsey College of Art and Design, and is known for his work on the face magazine (1981–1986) and areana magazine (1987–1990), as well as for designing record covers for artists such as cabarat voilitare an depeachy mode. He created the company Research Studios in 1994 and is a founding member of Fontworks. He has been announced to be the new Head of the Communication Art & Design department at the Royal College of Art commencing in January 2011.
This is an image of one of neville brodys art work, i really like this style of art using a human face and mergin it into text and having it all away the txt also works really well with it and it makes a great poster or magazine cover i think i maybe using something like this for my magazine cover iv started by having an image of me ina waste coat wnd filling the waste coat with text saying shakerz designs over and over i feel this is a good use of typography and it simular to the techniques brody has used in his work, as i like the look of brodys work i feel his work greatly influences my work and the way it looks makes me want to make my images to look simular to his.

This is an image of his magazine called The face neville is most known for this magazine it is a fashion magasin which basicly goes threw the fastion things goin on and how grafics relates to it, his graphical work really works well with the look he is trying to get like u can see on this front cover that, its and image showing shock and hurt by the look on her face and the smashed glass i have done work simular to this befor for an album cover and i feel it is a great effect which i will probs use again in the future for other work also the black and which works really well with the red of some of the text it helps it to stand out and it really adds a sence of mood to the peice.

Website demo on Flash
Today we did a little demo on how to creat a website with buttons on flash it was a very simple demo but i found it very usefull and handy to know i feel il use this method alot especialy when i am creating my buttons for some other work that i am doing. here are a few doc shots of my work in progress.
This is a doc shot of the proses of making an action for ur buttons when you select a button and then click on the option that you want that button to do for example set it to go to a page or set it to play a short clip ect.
The way we created a webpage was to first create 4 layers named, actions, buttons , content and background the reason they have those names are self explanatory, we then cut it into segemtns of 10 , then 20 then 30 then 40 filling it all with frames
That little box up the top corner of the screen is where we selected the buttons that we wanted to use , to do that you go to window then cliko n comman libuary then selec buttons then you can search threw the libuary for a button that you would like to use.

This doc shot is of my final outcome of it all put together into a interactive webpage, this is a very simple design but it is very effective and it shows the basics of how to create a webpage and will be very helpfull for when creating my own website.

Logos
here are all my logos that i have made for my identity project i started doing logos that were round and ciculer with SD and shakerz designs written on it but hten i realised that i would not be able to shrink down this logos and for it to be recognisable , i tryed many variations of the logo but i still felt that none of them would work, i then tryed a very simplistic logo with the 2 letters S and D and tryed to merge them together to make a shape i came up with a very simple and effective logo i tryed two different veriations of this and this is what i came up with .

Slice tool and dreamweaver
Today we did a tiny demo on how to slice up sections of a picture to create a website, you do this buy selecting all your different small sections so then you can let that section find its way to watever page you want so it sort of works like a button, you click on the slice tool then you begin to box all the little sections you want to box up, by going on the slice select tool you can change the size of your boxes, also with that tool, if you double click it you can set the page that you want that section to click to, this is an example of what my website may look like with the slice sections set.
All those little sections above will all lead to a different page with my art work on it.
When you save it you have to go down to save for web and devices then it will also create a web like where you can open it up , you can then open that up in dreamweaver

plaster wall
stair grill
floor grill
telephone buttons
pcad award slate
dinner tray
long key lock
round key lock
push bin lid
slatted door
plug socket
door bracket
fire extinquisher
bottum of dinner tray
I enjoyed doing this task it was interesting wat looks you can get from a simple surface i feel i can use this knowledge in work for back ground and to blend into album covers to get a better effect over the top.

Photography induction
Today we had an induction of how to use a dslr camera, we went through how to manualy use it, setting the apature the exposure what they are and what they meant to do and how to use them efectivly, aparture is the size of the hole to let in the light the bigger the whole the lower the number is and the more light that gets let in, we also learnt about exposure which is the speed that the stutter opens and closes, , he also went into details about tripods when we wud need to use them on a longer exposure photo so the camera does not get moved inorder to get a good image , the size of the apature u need is pendant on what you want to focus the main centre of the photo to be you will have low papature for things up close and you would get a blurry background for photos like that are portrate and for landscape photos you would use a high apature so the whole image is sharp and clear. for photos where u want to show movement you will lower the shuter speed so you will get a blured effect in order to capture movement in the photo but for still shots like a splash in water you will want to use a very fast exposure time. i found this induction very intresting and will be very usefull in doing my own personal work for people, now i will have the cojnfidence to take photos for people for my edits which will in turn provide better images for me to work with. below is an image of the camera we had an induction on the nikon DSLR ( DIGITAL SINGLE LENS REFLEX)

Panoramic 360 view
Today we took some photos to create a panoramic view i stood at a high level to get a good 360 view of my suroundings, i took 11 photos going around and got some great shots, we then took the camera inside and took another lot of 360 images this time going verticaly for a bit of difference, we then took are images and uploaded them to the computer, we used a softwhere called panoramic maker 5 this is the panoramic view we got with our finished product.
This image is all of my images linked together i feel it is a really good image and it works really well together, i much enjoyed doing this project it was lots of fun and easy to do and i feel i may use it for my webside when it comes to creating it.

Panoramic
This demo was how to merge 3 photos together to create one big image , we started by taking photos 3 in a row going along a different view, these are the 3 photos i took and decided to use.
To create and start merging the photos on a panoramic view you first select file and then you scrole down the automate, you then click photomerge you then set it to auto and then you browse for the photos that you want to merge this photo below is my final product after i merged the images.
I enjoyed doing this task it is simple and easy and i feel it will be handy to use for posters on the future, i feel i could go home and use this technique myself, i feel i learn about it quite easy and that it will always be in my head for when ever i want to use this tecnique again.

Pool Ball
Today we did a demo about how to create a pool ball from scratch, he started by letting us have a go at it ourselves but noone really knew what they were doing he then showed us some small tops on how to do it. we started by creating a circle and filing it with wat ever colour we wanted the ball we then worked into it with the dodge tool at the top to creat the light effect then we used the burn tool to creat the shadow look at the bottum of the ball we then created a selection that looked a bit like a teletubby face and then bit by bit using the eracer on 16% opacsity we got ride of the middle and left just a faint white outer edge we then put a cream circle in the centre for the number and use a dark grey to get the shading and then jsut put the number in the centre, this below is my final product .

8 Mile
This is an image i did using the techniques we learnt doing the shatter demo, i am happy with the final outcome of my peice and i feel it has a great look and has a good feeling of the mood that the film has, i do not however feel that it is better than the original poster but i feel that it would make a good wallpaper maybe, atchuly come to thing about it its quite rubbish and i done really like it atall but its all i could come up with using the techniques that we were given to use and the time slot that we had to fit it into but, but anyway here it is .

Shatter
Today we learnt about how to give text a shattered effect, we start by creating a text i used the word SHAKERZ we then used bevel and embos to give it that 3d effect and to give it a more professional look then by using the polygonal tool to cut out trianguler segments of the text and pull them appart with little gaps in between, we then used the laso tool to create a cirle around the txt to which we filled with the cloud filter then using radial blur to make it look like it is exploading out, we then duplicated the text and made it 50% grey we then put a radial blur on that one aswell to make that also look like it was exploading out.
These are some photo prints i made as i was doing this activity, i raeally enjoyed doing this task i feel i will use it in the future in other projects below is an image i did using these effects.

Astor Park Poster
Below is a image of a poster i designed for astor park i took a loud of images from 3 different methods of capture and put it all into one image:
This image was created on photoshop using different types of blending tools, i have manage to get a very good style of work using the blending tools and i feel i use them to great effect, i used about 7 different images to blend together , some of them large some small, all of the images are images of the park when we went to viset it , i feel doing this has helped to develop my skills on photoshop and my level of creativity using self taken imagry i feel my image really represents what astor park is.
I really enjoyed doping this image as it was great fun experimenting with the different images ot finaly come together with a great design, i am happy with my peice and i think it would fit well on a wall showing different images of astor park i would confidently have it on my wall at home as i feel it has a good street and funky look to it.doing this type of editing is what i enjoy the most and i enjoy spending time trying different effects and looks and colours.

Identity Poster
Last week we done a poster based on are identitys using typography and an image of ourselves, this is the final product of my image below:
In thsi image i found a picture of me and worked around it using typography, i furst used cutout filter to my picture to giv it a sort of graffiti on the wall type look then dwnloaded an image of a wall to put it on, i then filled the background with text with digets of my date of birth 071090, i then put in a bit of text sayin SHAKERZ which is my nickname and put that along the side and used a blendin tool to fit it in with the image, i then added my full name Jake Allington and put it dropping from my grip in my hands, using freeform tool, i then cut ouit a load of things about me for example son brother ect and cut them out and showved them all in the corner then using the free form tool i distorted it so it looked like it was flodding in from the corner of the image.
Over all i am very happy with this peice it is the second one i done as i lost my last 1 due to a loss in power on my computer which was a shame, i enjoyed making this peice and i feel i learnt alot about the efectiveness of typography on an image and i will be using alot of typography in the future.

3D
This week we have looked into 3d design on 3d max this secotion of the term we cover these four subjects to do with 3d design on 3d max:
TEXT
We were shown how to creat 3d text we did this by first clicking on the shapes tool and then selecting text we then clicked were we wanted the text and filled in the text box with the writing that we wanted to make 3d, we was also shown how to change the font, to make it go 3d we had to go onto modify then choose the option to extrude which made the writing 3d we could then pick how wide we wanted it.
TEXTURE
The way we was shown to change the texture of the peice was to go on rendering then material edit then compact materials, we then had to click on the colour option and click difuse then pick bitmap, you could then upload an image of a texture u have got from the internet and used that i found this facinating to use and i found it very life like when using it.
LIGHTING
For the lighting effects I found and clicked onto the lights button, then clicked target spot. I had to drag the lighting cone out from where the lighting was coming from and enlarge and position it untill the text i had produce had been lit to the way i wanted it to be lit.
EXPORT
The way we was shown how to export was the quick and easy way to do it , this was by cliking the kettle up the top to view are final productd then saving that image as a png format so that it wouldnt end up with that black background, we could then edit it all on photo shop.
PEICES
Below are some images of my final peices that i did on digital 3d max.
I really enjoyed using 3d max it is very useful and i know i will use it in the future for shure for some of my work i enjoyed creating new shapes and i feel i learn a great deal about 3d max and i cant wait to start doing larger products with this tool.

Today we has to design 4 shirt on the folowing subjects, astor park, identity, graffiti, typography, today i only managed to get 2 done which were astor park and identity below is ajn image of my astor park shirt.
This is my design for identity, what i did was take a photo of me and using the blending tool i put it into the shirt as a sort of stencil way i then put some txt across me saying my nickname in graffiti writing, i then put my tag in the bottum right corner of the shirt to symbolise my sign so people know its my work, this peice was made using mainly the blending tool it is once again a very simple peice but i feel it would work really well as a tshirt, it is 3 mediams that represent who i am, you have a photo of me , text of my name, and my edit copyright tag so i feel this peice really sums up identity.

Banksy
Banksy is a artist from bristol, who does alot of street art aka graffiti, but he has taken it to such a level that it has become adored by many fans of his work evan celebritys, his work is all over the world from stencils to sculptures , he is really trying to get across a message and hes doing it in a form of art, today we watched a documentary on bansky , about a guy who films lots and lots of street artist and begins to film a documentary on it , he finaly works up the reputation to be phoned up by banksy to show him round LA to do work. most of banskys work has a statement to make and that si what i liek about his work, also u can look at one of his peices and you will know that it is his work. these are a few examples of his work .

These are jsut three examples of his work, from sculptured phone box which i think is a great way to illustrate how phones can be so frustraiting i think its great abstract art but is alvo very cleaver in the making, The stencil is very clever rather than throwing a petrol bomb he is throwing a boquet of flowers in a sort of to show peice rather than violence. the last 1 is a peice that is set up in bristol on a wall, its a figure of a man hangin from a window with a woman with her husband looking for the guy who is hanging from the window.

Typography
In this experiment tutorial, we took an image of our faces and edited it so that text was in the chape of the shadows and different tones of are faces, we did this by getting an image and by using the wand tool selecting different areas of are face using the magic wand tool, i then right click the are secelted and choose, make a work path tool then by selecting the text tool and clicking inside the selected area i can fill that area alone with text, i then did then with most of the sections of my image.
First we did some examples of how to use typography by folowing a line with text with different lines these are two examples below.
I am very happy with the final product it is a very good proces and effect to use , i feel i will be using this proces again the the future with peronal projects i do .

I found this very interesting to do and i feel thsi will become very handy tool for me to use in the future for projects, and designs that i do, as i am a huge fan of photoshop i feel i had a good base knowledge on this proces in order to really get it drilled into my head after we had this tutorial.
This is an image of my final text face oncei had done most of the areas with text as you can see it quite abstract and not obvious it is me but it is clear that it is in the shape and figure of a human face.

David Carson
David carson is a typography artist known famously for breaking the rules of graphic design, this is a couple of examples of his work below.

As you can see all of his art work is very abstract the text is almost unreadable and distorted which was his way of breaking the rules, david carson alone created or started the whole digital abstract movement, his work gives you alot more to look at and gives you more things to be intrested in, although his work is loved all over the world, i do not find his work very interesting, i feel no real effort has gon into it and that any old person could create his work, but as a fellow artist i have to respect his passion for the abstract movement and the guts he has to start this movement and it has worked out well for him and how work is loved world wide because of it. he uses lots of typography in his work but rather than making the text readable he distorts it which makes you try to look at it harder than you would with any other peice.

3 Methods Of Capture
The three different methods of capture i will be using are, photography, memory and writing, so iwill be takign photos, using my photographic memory to remember thingas about the park and also writin in a text format about what i can see explaining the different views and scenery.
We are doing this in the aster park.
Photography:
Photography is the art of taking photos ranging from digital imagry to film, using the light to project an image onto film , then you can develope the film into photos using a liquid. You can capture any still moment in time with just the click of a button.
Memory:
Memory is using your brain to remember images or scenery and then produce them in my own style and view, the positive thing with memory is only the best things will really stick in your mind, and when you see something you like you will remember it.
Writing: I will be writing down views and imagry that i can see explaining view in words rather than imagry, using this method gives the reader more chance to use there imagination about what you are viewing, it can leave more room for personal improvment, really looking into detail of what you see rather than just drawing it.
