Logos

here are all my logos that i have made for my identity project i started doing logos that were round and ciculer with SD and shakerz designs written on it but hten i realised that i would not be able to shrink down this logos and for it to be recognisable , i tryed many variations of the logo but i still felt that none of them would work, i then tryed a very simplistic logo with the 2 letters S and D and tryed to merge them together to make a shape i came up with a very simple and effective logo i tryed two different veriations of this and this is what i came up with .

Slice tool and dreamweaver

Today we did a tiny demo on how to slice up sections of a picture to create a website, you do this buy selecting all your different small sections so then you can let that section find its way to watever page you want so it sort of works like a button, you click on the slice tool then you begin to box all the little sections you want to box up, by going on the slice select tool you can change the size of your boxes, also with that tool, if you double click it you can set the page that you want that section to click to, this is an example of what my website may look like with the slice sections set.

All those little sections above will all lead to a different page with my art work on it.

When you save it you have to go down to save for web and devices then it will also create a web like where you can open it up , you can then open that up in dreamweaver

Rubbing textures

Today Dan the man let us out the class to sketch some texture around the college onto paper with a grafite crayon, this image is the textures that we managed to find.

The texture we found were :

disabled logo
plantpot
brick wall
plaster wall
stair grill
floor grill
telephone buttons
pcad award slate
dinner tray
long key lock
round key lock
push bin lid
slatted door
plug socket
door bracket
fire extinquisher
bottum of dinner tray

I enjoyed doing this task it was interesting wat looks you can get from a simple surface i feel i can use this knowledge in work for back ground and to blend into album covers to get a better effect over the top.

Photography induction

Today we had an induction of how to use a dslr camera, we went through how to manualy use it, setting the apature the exposure what they are and what they meant to do and how to use them efectivly, aparture is the size of the hole to let in the light the bigger the whole the lower the number is and the more light that gets let in, we also learnt about exposure which is the speed that the stutter opens and closes, , he also went into details about tripods when we wud need to use them on a longer exposure photo so the camera does not get moved inorder to get a good image , the size of the apature u need is pendant on what you want to focus the main centre of the photo to be you will have low papature for things up close and you would get a blurry background for photos like that are portrate and for landscape photos you would use a high apature so the whole image is sharp and clear. for photos where u want to show movement you will lower the shuter speed so you will get a blured effect in order to capture movement in the photo but for still shots like a splash in water you will want to use a very fast exposure time. i found this induction very intresting and will be very usefull in doing my own personal work for people, now i will have the cojnfidence to take photos for people for my edits which will in turn provide better images for me to work with. below is an image of the camera we had an induction on the nikon DSLR ( DIGITAL SINGLE LENS REFLEX)

Panoramic 360 view

Today we took some photos to create a panoramic view i stood at a high level to get a good 360 view of my suroundings, i took 11 photos going around and got some great shots, we then took the camera inside and took another lot of 360 images this time going verticaly for a bit of difference, we then took are images and uploaded them to the computer, we used a softwhere called panoramic maker 5 this is the panoramic view we got with our finished product.

This image is all of my images linked together i feel it is a really good image and it works really well together, i much enjoyed doing this project it was lots of fun and easy to do and i feel i may use it for my webside when it comes to creating it.

Panoramic

This demo was how to merge 3 photos together to create one big image , we started by taking photos 3 in a row going along a different view, these are the 3 photos i took and decided to use.

To create and start merging the photos on a panoramic view you first select file and then you scrole down the automate, you then click photomerge you then set it to auto and then you browse for the photos that you want to merge this photo below is my final product after i merged the images.

I enjoyed doing this task it is simple and easy and i feel it will be handy to use for posters on the future, i feel i could go home and use this technique myself, i feel i learn about it quite easy and that it will always be in my head for when ever i want to use this tecnique again.

Pool Ball

Today we did a demo about how to create a pool ball from scratch, he started by letting us have a go at it ourselves but noone really knew what they were doing he then showed us some small tops on how to do it. we started by creating a circle and filing it with wat ever colour we wanted the ball we then worked into it with the dodge tool at the top to creat the light effect then we used the burn tool to creat the shadow look at the bottum of the ball we then created a selection that looked a bit like a teletubby face and then bit by bit using the eracer on 16% opacsity we got ride of the middle and left just a faint white outer edge we then put a cream circle in the centre for the number and use a dark grey to get the shading and then jsut put the number in the centre, this below is my final product .
